A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a Senior .NET Developer to join our team in Bala Cynwyd, PA.

Position Functions or Responsibilities:
  • Design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of core insurance application, as well as providing support.
  • Work independently and within a team of developers to deliver end-to-end web solutions for moderate to complex projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members both onshore and offshore.
  • Strong familiarity with .NET technologies and strong design skills. Previous experience in .Net 3.5 or higher, SQL Server 2008 or higher, OOP, XML/XSLT/XPATH, NA, NA, C#, SSIS, SSRS and Web Services is required. Working knowledge on HTML5, jQuery, and SharePoint is preferred.
  • Develop and maintain the software framework and services using the .NET framework and Microsoft technologies.
  • Contribute to and lead architecture and design activities.
  • Interact with business analyst/Client(s) to understand business problem(s) being addressed by the project.
  • Review project requirements and assess and estimate the necessary time-to-completion.
  • Create unit test plans and scenarios for development unit testing.
  • Work with peers to carry out code reviews and unit testing of new development.
  • Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed.
  • Interact with other development teams to ensure a consistent approach to software development.
  • Closely follow software development best practices.
  • Prepare technical design documents using enterprise standard documentation tools.
  • Deploy all integration artifacts to a testing and production environment.
  • Web development in Microsoft technologies: NA, NA, C#, Ajax, XML/XSLT/XPATH, NA, Object oriented programming.
  • Software Development Life Cycle methodologies especially Agile Development methodology and scrum process.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel based reporting from web applications.
  • Strong understanding of .NET Fundamentals (Interfaces, inheritance etc.).
  • Develop NA web services, windows services and WCF.
  • Experience with Visual Studio 2008 or higher, Source Control - TFS 2008, SQL Server 2008. (2012 a plus).
  • Working knowledge on HTML5, jQuery, and SharePoint is preferred.
  • Insurance Domain (P&C) experience will be preferred.
