Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented a PM/CM Higher Education Lead for immediate employment. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. This position is contingent upon award of contract.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Construction management responsibilities at a project manager and/or program executive level on complex education programs
  • Successfully interfaces with client, stakeholders and staff on a daily basis
  • Identify, strategically positions and wins long term, large business opportunities (projects and programs) by networking with clients as well as within the industry to develop business relationships
  • Creates and builds client relationships while sponsoring interaction to obtain projects. Develops and maintains networks of contacts within the industry
  • Communicates client knowledge to marketing to aid with strategizing on proposal content to address client concerns
  • Makes business decisions with understanding of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve business results and meet established deadlines
  • Represents the firm at community functions and throughout the bid process
  • Partners with management to resolve problem areas in project delivery
  • Seeks out new sectors of business by following industry trends
  • Develops business for the PM/CM business line in the Midwest Region
  • Interfaces with Region Leads, National Market Sector Leads and other business line representatives to put AECOM in the best position to win work
  • Develops market growth and leads higher education business development strategy in collaboration with PMCM ABUL in the Region and other region business line leaders, market sector leaders and account managers
  • Develops and formulates solutions to client problems/issues

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of related experience, including 8 years' experience in sales, business development and/or marketing
  • Thorough understanding and experience leading operational groups
  • Must have strong knowledge of local market in SE Michigan Area
  • Strength in overseeing and directing program and project scheduling, cost management and risk management initiatives
  • Broad knowledge of the business to support cross-discipline/business line/region collaboration
  • Well versed in market place and competitive environment
  • Has a thorough knowledge of client business practices and goals

Preferred Qualifications
  • 15 years related experience including 8 years' experience in sales, business development and/or marketing
