About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
AECOM has an opportunity for an E3 Engineer in our Annapolis Junction, MD location!
Provide technical and program management support to DSO/JSC personnel in support of DoD efforts to maintain and manage the E3 and SS Programs. Specific efforts will include providing support under the DSO Electromagnetic Spectrum Services (EMS) contract for E3 Engineering and Strategic Planning support. Includes DoD E3 program management; review, draft, and update E3 and SS standards, directives, instructions, and manuals; review acquisition documents for adequacy of DoD E3 and SS policy; support to spectrum reallocation programs including AWS-3; support for the technical evaluation of new and modified systems to ensure compliance with current standards and practices; draft reports and articles on current program activities, new processes and technologies/trends; participate in program reviews and integrated product team meetings.
BS in Engineering or related science field with a minimum of 3 years of job-related experience. Prior Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) work experience with DoD Service(s), Defense Spectrum Organization (DSO), and/or Joint Spectrum Center (JSC), Work Experience Field: Spectrum Management/Supportability, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), EMC, EMI, Communications, Defense Acquisition, Spectrum Reallocation.
Requires: Familiarity with DoD Instructions 4650 and 3222, MIL-STD-461, 464, MIL-HDBK-235, 237, and other E3 standards, the DoD 5000 acquisition and Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) processes, E3/SS policy and compliance instructions and standards. Experienced user of Microsoft Office is essential.
