Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a dual ticketed Instrumentation / electrician Journeyman to be based in our Red Deer, Alberta location.

This position will install, maintain and repair the measuring and control devices used in industrial and commercial processing. They will work with a wide variety of pneumatic, electronic and microcomputer devices used to measure and control pressure, flow, temperature, level, motion, force, and chemical composition.

May include the following responsibilities:
  • Be able to take directions, and receptive to training and mentoring;
  • Proficiently identify and work with various material components;
  • Expert tubing skills;
  • Expert in pneumatic, electronic and micro-computer instrument operation;
  • Expert in device identification and installation;
  • Expertly read and comprehend drawings and specifications;
  • Expert level calibration knowledge;
  • Expert knowledge of multiple control installations;
  • Implement safe work practices and procedures;
  • Maintain exceptional workmanship habits;
  • Expert in the usage of various calibration meters and measurement devices;
  • Expert knowledge of Hazardous location requirements;
  • Mentor junior apprentices.

Minimum Requirements
Journeyman Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal

Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Certification required
Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection (OSSA issued ticket) Certification required
Aerial work platform (AWP) Certification required
First Aid Certification required

This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory drivers abstract for review

Preferred Qualifications
H2S Alive
CSE (Confined Space Entry)

Red Seal preferred or required by provincial regulations and standards.
