About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary
This position is contingent upon contract award, to support DOS in Kabul, Afghanistan.

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hospitality Services Office Administration Lead located in Kabul, Afghanistan. The Office Services Administrator is responsible for planning and coordinating administrative support functions for a group or smaller unit. Under minimal supervision, plans, coordinates, supervises and administers secretarial support services for a medium-size unit or group. Manages Guest House Operations to include management of staff and buildings and grounds to support Operations and Hospitality requirements in support of the US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. Develops, implements, and coordinates office policies and programs consistent with group philosophy and objectives. Is responsible for the efficient operation and performance of the unit. Plans and/or coordinates office and telephone relocations and facilities remodeling. May perform personnel and/or other functions as necessary. Trains personnel in company policies and procedures. Researches and analyzes office equipment requirements and advises management of the best value available. Controls the purchase of office equipment and supplies. Authorizes invoice payments and purchase requisitions. Coordinates and monitors the upkeep and maintenance of office equipment. Monitors credit card use and expense accounts. Maintains accurate records of time cards, travel expense accounts, etc. Coordinates and makes arrangements for group meetings and social functions. May perform various personnel and other functions as necessary. Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must Have experience in a supervisory level position with 5 years of related work experience.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience and extensive knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Have a working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Position may require travel.
