Job Summary
We are currently looking for enthusiastic team members to join our Nottingham Pavements Team within AECOM's Transportation Team.

If you are local to Nottingham, are enthusiastic, willing to learn, work flexible hours and have a full driving licence we would like to hear from you.

As a Technical Assistant, you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Undertake a range of visual condition surveys, both walked and driven, to UK Pavement Management System (UK PMS) accredited standards.
  • Collecting survey data on either handheld devices or tablet computers.
  • Undertake asset data collection surveys employing GPS enabled hand held data capture devices.
  • The vast majority of surveys are undertaken on transient locations throughout the UK, requiring team members to travel extensively or work remotely.
  • Due to continuing survey works, candidates might be required to travel throughout the UK for extended periods, which will require some weekend working.

Minimum Requirements
For this role, the following will be required:
  • Previous experience of UK PMS would be advantageous.
  • Organisational and communication Skills.
  • Computer literate - basic Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read maps and plans.
  • Ability to survey up to 8km per day (walked surveys).
  • Driving licence.
  • Flexible approach to availability.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of GCSE level Maths and English and grade C or above.
  • Ideally educated to A-Level, HNC standard in a relevant subject.
  • Attention to detail.
