Temporary Accommodation Officer|
Are you a temporary accommodation officer looking for your next role? Well look no more as my client from a local authority based in Kent is looking to appoint a contractor for an initial 3 month period with a view to extend, paying around £16 an hour.
Main Purpose of Job
1 Under the direction of the Housing Solutions Team Leader this post holder will be responsible for delivering the Council's procedures to discharge it's duty to persons placed in temporary accommodation who are owed an interim duty to Accommodate under s. 188 (1) of the Housing Act 1996, as amended.
1 This post holder will work closely with the Prevention team to identify suitable temporary accommodation for the homeless applicants. This will include responsibility for the day to day monitoring the Council's temporary accommodation schemes such as placements, arrears and rent collection.
1 To provide a comprehensive service for Homeless applicants including placement into temporary accommodation, minimisation of Bed and Breakfast, maximisation of applicants income, maximisation of rental income and undertaking visits.
1 To be responsible for monitoring the Best Value Performance indicators relevant to temporary accommodation and to recommend corrective action where necessary.
