The company is mixed discipline, working in both Build & Civils - Projects valued at between 50 - 75m spanning both public & private sectors.
The success of the company owes much to the founding Directors who are all Engineers by Profession and passionate about exceeding client expectations. The company remains privately owned.
This client seeks a PM for awarded schemes in Hampshire/Dorset. They seek a professional candidate capable of bid management from tender stage through to practical completion with limited intervention. It would particularly suit a candidate who is aspiring to an Operational Management level position within the next 5 years.
Duties are as follows:
a) Be fully responsible for the Health and Safety, co-ordination of all site disciplines, managing the design and ultimately delivering a quality job on programme.
b) Managing Design Teams - through the use of Information Release Schedules / RFI schedules.
c) Managing a full site team of Site Agents; section managers; engineers; quantity surveyors.
d) Producing programmes - long term / short term / detailed including the ability to report against any slippages / gains.
e) Managing Subcontract and direct labour workforces.
f) Correct requisitioning of materials and subcontractors.
g) Leading project meetings; attending all client meetings; and client facing in all aspects.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience in running �5m+ projects whilst working for a main contractor.
b) Proven track record of delivering quality finished end product, to time and to budget.
c) Experience building high value projects: Highways/Section 278 Works / Structures / Sub-structure
d) Commercially aware and will exhibit extensive knowledge of all disciplines involved in the construction process including design co-ordination, quantity surveying and procurement.
e) Able to display a planned and proven career path and have thorough knowledge of H&S procedures.
f) Strong communication skills, able to communicate at all levels.
g) Advanced knowledge Chapter 8 and Street works
h) Strong knowledge on NEC & JCT forms of contract
