Project Manager - Integrated Security Solutions

Due to the ongoing growth phase in the company, a position has been created within the Projects team. Working in collaboration with the sales, service and commercial functions, you will effectively manage a range of implementation projects from inception through to close-out to agreed quality, time and cost criteria.

The Project Manager (PM) will be part of a team, which as a group will perform the duties to install Security Systems at customer's premises. Both domestic and commercial.

Generally this role is to Project Manage and coordinate the Installation of all, or some of, the orders that the company receives.
The role requires a great deal of initiative and autonomy.
Flexibility is essential in adapting to future changes within the company and fluctuations within the workload.
The role includes the supervision of the Installation Engineers and any Sub-contract labour being used from time to time, and in particular the compliance with the Health and Safety, and Environmental Policy requirements of the company and the client.

These duties will be based upon all or part of the following:

The Operations Manager (OM) will allocate new projects to the PM.
They will then be responsible for the planning, scheduling, installation and handover of the project.

On receipt of a new job file, the PM, with the OM, will review the project to ensure that they are fully conversant with the contract conditions. They will also ensure that the equipment specified constitutes a working and suitable system in liaison with the Salesman and the Customer and, where necessary, resolve any queries at this stage.

Any predetermined program of works and delivery schedule will be noted and actioned. Any changes will, proactively, be notified to the customer and the Salesman.

The PM will be responsible for monitoring the profitability of all projects under their control. Any concerns should be highlighted to the OM.

The PM will monitor the progress of their work at all times and will advise the OM of any changes through regular 'Project Reviews'.

It will be the responsibility of the PM to ensure that the customer and any other interested parties are kept up to date with the progress of the project.

Where the PM experiences difficulty in fulfilling their duties or finds the program of works not on schedule, particularly where 'Liquidated Damages' may be incurred, the OM will be advised immediately.

The PM will provide or organise any relevant customer training and ensure that commissioning and completion certificates are signed and provided.

The PM will ensure that all applicable documentation is provided in a suitable format at the time of handover to the client.

Giving adequate notice, the OM must be informed of any pending project completions to allow a handover or attendance if felt necessary by the OM or other member of staff.

The PM will feedback all information to ensure the most efficient customer invoicing schedule for all their ongoing projects.
