Position: Quantity Surveyor/ Contracts Manager
Location: Head Office Hertfordshire - Projects in London and the surrounding counties
Salary £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience, Car/ car allowance, travel bonus (discretionary), 25 days holiday.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join one of the region's most successful SME contractors. They currently have numerous on-going projects located across London and the surrounding counties with values ranging from £500k to £3m. Currently the division is the third biggest within the organisation which as a total business runs at c£45m in turnover.
To assist in controlling commercial aspects of work contracts, maximising profits, and controlling costs. Preparation of quotations and bills of quantities from tenders received. Dealing with client and sub contractors to deliver a professional service at all times.
The successful candidate would be involved from the stage of preparing competitive quotations, proactively developing such quotations to secure work, correspond information with the client, attending pre contract meetings, agreeing and interpreting contracts, site measurement. Accurate pricing and rating of variations. Interim and final account agreement of sub contracts. Preparation and agreement of sundry accounts.
A varied and interesting position combining both office and site opportunities from inception to completion of works. During the interview process you must be able to show evidence of making a profit on contracts from £500k to £3m in value. Preferably the client is looking for someone with expertise in delivering education, healthcare and commercial contracts.
