Main Objectives: Co-ordination of information provided by external consultants, utility providers and other members of the design team including technical information from specialist material suppliers such as floor beams, floor joists and roof trusses
This role requires a very high level of accuracy, organisation and a methodical approach and would suit a Quantity Surveyor that wants a slight change of direction.
Duties will include: Instructing and management of external consultants (Architects, Structural and Civil Engineers, Archaeologists etc), from the initial planning stage through to the completion of projects on site
Collate and submit information for the discharge of planning conditions keeping accurate records during this process
Collate information for obtaining building control (and any warrantee provider) sign off by demonstrating that all regulations are complied with
Dealing with statutory authorities to obtain service quotations and co-ordination of the delivery of service mains and plot connections
Should be proficient in analysing designs and information provided by external consultants and be able to check, comment, approve and distribute key construction information to the design team and site manager's in a clear and concise manor
Be able to answer every day site queries, and provide support to the site managers
Check material component drawings and specifications provided by suppliers and offer critique, before orders are placed to ensure best value
Assist in the coordination, recording and distributing design / specification information
