Job Purpose and Scope:
The assistant planner will provide support to the planning function on either a single or multiple projects under the guidance or a Regional Planner \ Planning Manager.
The role is to assist in the provision of an effective and efficient planning service to the operational teams on the London Region projects.
They will be an integral part of a planning team which will formulate the construction methodology, sequencing and all aspects of time management for the assigned projects.
? Demonstrable knowledge of construction methods and processes
? Knowledge of the use of planning and project control processes
? Good knowledge of Planning software
? Intermediate level of numeracy
? Strong communication skills
? Flexible in approach to location, project type and size
? Intermediate experience and knowledge of Excel and other MS Office packages
? Strong desire to learn the use of planning tools and software
? Intermediate understanding of the methods of construction
? Intermediate ability to interpret project documentation
? Willing to learn and has a ?can do? attitude
? Presentation skills
? The ability to use 4D planning software and/or the desire to learn how too.
? Tertiary qualifications in building, project or construction management, professional qualification and/or equivalent vocational training and experience
? Knowledge \ use of 3D drawing software packages
? Ability to work on preconstruction and delivery planning
? Primavera P6 knowledge and usage
