Our client is a well known, global company that has now opened in NI. Due to this we are currently seeking a Technical Support Executive to join their team on a temp to perm basis. The Technical Support Executive will be working full time and assisting the company with all IT support for its clients.|
As a technical support/helpdesk employee, you'll be monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks within an organisation in a technical support role. If there are any issues or changes required, such as forgotten passwords, viruses or email issues, you'll be the first person employees/clients will come to.
Tasks will include installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware/software faults and solving technical problems, either over the phone or face to face.
Most importantly, as businesses cannot afford to be without the whole system, or individual workstations, for more than the minimum time taken to repair or replace them, your technical support is vital to the ongoing operational efficiency of the company.
Working with customers/employees to identify computer problems and advising on the solution
Logging and keeping records of customer queries
Analysing call logs so you can spot common trends and underlying problems
Updating self-help documents so customers can try to fix problems themselves
Working with field engineers to visit customers if the problem is more serious
Testing and fixing faulty equipment
Ideally you will have at least 2 years helpdesk experience but not essential as full training will be given
Good communication skills and good IT skills/knowledge
Strong interest in IT and a desire to progress your IT career
Strong team player and be flexible
Salary will be between £21k - £25k depending on experience. There is also some excellent benefits within this company that really do reward their staff.
You must be able to work Tuesday to Saturday to accommodate clients needs.
