A Data Warehouse Developer is required for a 4 month contract (likely to be extended) based in based in Cardiff, South Wales.|
Working for a well established organisation you will develop a robust generic ETL process for extracting XML from a SQL table in the PROMs system into a relational format into SQL tables within the NWIS Data Warehouse.
The data warehouse developer will be required to:
*liaise with the PROMs developers to ensure that the data held in the PROMs system is accessible in a "data warehouse-ready" format.
*extract, transform and load XML data from the PROMs system into relational SQL tables in the NWIS Data Warehouse.
*liaise with users to establish requirements for data products, and then develop these data products, linking PROMs data to other datasets where required and anonymising data as appropriate.
*develop further ETL processes for the capture of patient-level costing and National Joint Registry data, liaising as required with the relevant data providing organisations in order to agree appropriate methods of acquisition, and resolving any subsequent issues that arise.
it is essential that you have the use of Microsoft SSMS & SSIS and ETL and experience of manipulating (and shredding) XML is also a pre-requisite along with knowledge of XML Schema Definition (XSD files).
This role will pay up to £ 21.50 per hour (ltd/Umbrella) depending on the level of experience and is to start ASAP
