About You

You will be a Rehabilitation Specialist, or specialist in related fields of Flora or Mine Closure, who is keen to join our Perth office as a Team Leader. Working closely with the other Team leaders & Managers you will be responsible for your own work as well as overseeing other team members, helping with their professional development by providing guidance and mentoring, ensuring they follow best practise whilst managing workloads to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Along with the team leader component of this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills encompassing your own technical work and project management.

• Rehabilitation monitoring on mine sites throughout Australia, using various methods including Ecosystem Function Analysis (EFA)
• Provision of rehabilitation advice to mining clients from conceptual design, execution, and monitoring through to relinquishment.
• Data management and reporting
• Proposal / tender preparation
• Client liaison
• Planning field work and organising logistics
• Scheduling
• Procedure preparation and update
• Training mining staff / regulators
• Management of 10 to 20 projects at a time

To be considered, you will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or related, and demonstrate anywhere from 5-8+ years' environmental experience in the mining industry in Western Australia. Your strong report writing skills will be complimented by your strong technical knowledge that draws upon a range of available resources.

Practical experience working on mine sites in Western Australia is required.
