Our client is a world leading Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy with offices throughout the UK and globally. They are currently looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Building Services team in Manchester.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience in a building services role, ideally within a consultancy environment. Evidence of progress towards becoming an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with a relevant professional institution would be advantageous.

Proven experience of delivering building services projects from concept to completion is essential. Candidates must be able to work under their own initiative, and to co-ordinate and supervise the activities of other, less experienced members of the team.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of engineering projects, across sectors such as residential, education, retail and leisure, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to budget. You will also support the training and development of less experienced team members.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

" Manage engineering projects and co-ordinate resource and activities to achieve short-term time and financial targets
" Produce engineering designs, calculations and specifications
" Co-ordinate input from other disciplines and specialisms as required
" Prepare technical reports in accordance with clients' briefs
" Supervise and co-ordinate the production of technical drawings
" Check calculations, specifications, drawings and reports produced by others, in accordance with Operational Procedures
" Attend and participate in client and (internal and external) project meetings
" Undertake site visits to monitor the progress of works
" Report regularly to relevant Associate(s) on the performance of projects against agreed project plans and budgets
" Correspond with external third parties regarding information and technical queries
" Comply with project management, Operational (QA), Environmental and Health and Safety procedures
" Proactively manage continuing professional development (including, where appropriate, actively pursuing Chartership with an appropriate professional institution)
