Software Test Analyst required for a global publishing company in Oxfordshire. This is a 2.5 month contract initially with liklihood of extension.

We are looking to hire a Software Test Engineer to work as the test expert within a cross-functional agile team. The organisation apply agile practices and use cutting edge technology to support rapid, high quality delivery.

Required skills -

Cucumber/BDD/Gherkin experience
Ideally have some core Java experience
AWS experience

We are looking for you rto have and demonstrate the following skills and expertise -

• A strong coder, with an eye for automating solutions wherever possible
• Already working with AWS and excited by the opportunities cloud based infrastructure brings

Responsibilities -

As a Software Test Engineer you will be primarily responsible for creating and executing testing activities to ensure new or amended services meet requirements. Working in a cross-functional agile team, you will perform a wide range of behavioural driven development (BDD) activities to ensure we develop and release software that delights our customers.

What you should bring
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• 3 or more years experience writing test automation using bdd frameworks such as Cucumber, JBehave, Fitnesse
• Experience working in an agile environment, collaboratively defining acceptance criteria
• A good understanding of software, with a proactive approach to learn new systems and troubleshoot problems
• Solid programming/scripting/shell knowledge and experience. Experience with Ruby is preferred
• Experience using version control software such as Git or SVN
