This is a great opportunity for a Production Controller looking to advance their career within a fast paced engineering company.

Working in the production team your responsibilities will include creating and scheduling jobs to manufacture parts and the assemblies (build), assigning materials, resources and lead-times, to ensure the full delivery of parts and assemblies according to prescribed methods.

It will be your responsibility to ensure the job pack is created, maintained and delivered in the most effective manner and appropriate batch size. You will manage manufactured parts, including castings and purchased parts in liaison with the purchasing department.

You will be expected to resolve sub-contract and shop floor queries and report risks to the Production Manager whilst achieving Quality and Delivery targets.

The desired candidate will be educated to a minimum HNC or ONC level although Degree Level would be preferable. The ability to interpret Engineering Drawings and methods of manufacture as well as knowledge of Microsoft office suite is essential. An understanding of MRP and manufacture planning techniques such as TOC, SMED, Lean and PRINCE2 are desired.

Three years post qualification experience in Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport Engineering and/or Manufacturing would be a benefit along with previous experience in manufacturing or project management.

Work closely with the Production Supervisors to achieve production targets and quality standards..
As well as excellent Production Planner / Production Planning skills key to the success of this role will be you having excellent communication skills along with strong IT skills.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm

5% company contribution pension, starts on 20 days holiday (plus public holidys) which will rise 1 day for every year they work up to a max of 25 days after 5years service. Also 1 x salary insurance in the case of death in service
