To join a leading provider of forensic and expert witness services with more than 20 years of providing expertise to the insurance, loss adjusting and legal sectors dealing with civil, commercial and criminal litigation cases in the UK, EU and internationally. This pioneering company specialises in providing true expertise and experience in engineering, health and safety and have a reputation for success in difficult cases and providing very rare specialisms.
You will have solid experience of forensic investigation of accidents and incidents both civil claims and criminal prosecutions. You will be a regulatory / prosecutions expert and have demonstrable competence as an expert witness. You will be expected to discuss recent cases on a highly confidential basis and discuss appearances in court. You will also be a chartered mechanical engineer with significant experience of general health and safety issues especially in workplace incidents across virtually every sector (especially construction; energy; transport; and heavy industry). You will also have the ability to apply health and safety legislation in a logical and unbiased manner. There is a well established administration team to assist on report writing and a team to offer technical expertise and peer review.
A straight talker, pragmatic with great communications skills, you will be an experienced expert witness in structural and civil engineering ideally to chartered status (or MIET / IEng / Eur Eng) within a mechanical discipline. Your technical reporting and writing skills should be highly proficient and you will have strong ability to understand and empathise with clients. Being an expert in regulatory/prosecutions you will have previous exposure to delivering seminars and training programmes. It is desirable you have experience of Work and instructions originating from EU and overseas, international experience, PhD or other significant academic achievement/status
