GDMS has an immediate opening for a Logistics Engineer to join our Colorado Springs, CO team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to design, develop and manage a variety of equipment and systems solutions for GDMS and its clients. The Logistics Engineer will develop and administer integrated logistics strategies, provides logistic support to field organizations and/or customers, including spare or replacement parts and supplies, and ensure customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to maximize sales and profit for company and customer. Additionally, the Logistics Engineer will ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes.
Candidates should demonstrate sophisticated problem solving skills, as well as an ability to design, develop and implement innovative General Dynamics Mission Systems business solutions.
Logistics Engineers must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related specialty or the equivalent, and two to five years of related experience. Applicants with a master's degree and zero to two years of professional experience also qualify.
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
