GDMS has an immediate opening for a Lead Radio Frequency (RF) Systems Architect - Satellite Receiver Hardware to join our Mission Payloads design team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to build and ensure adequate functionality of various GDMS and client technologies. This position requires the conception, design, development, and support of satellite receiver architectures. The candidate must be an RF systems architect who possesses a strong background in circuit design and analysis. Responsibilities include detailed design and performance prediction of high dynamic range, low noise receivers, modeled using ADS, Genesys, or other simulation tools. The Lead RF Systems Architect - Satellite Receiver Hardware candidate will be responsible for:
Candidates must demonstrate a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of electronic equipment and systems, and the ability to further advance GDMS technology.
Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline required plus a minimum of eight years of directly related RF/Microwave design experience. Ten years of experience is preferred.
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
