General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Nuclear Weapons Security Field Engineering Technician to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to design, develop and manage a variety of equipment and systems solutions for General Dynamics Mission Systems and its clients. The Nuclear Weapons Security Field Technicians perform Vulnerability Assessment activities which will have an impact upon the design of advanced electronic security systems. This position requires technical knowledge and disciplines such as physical security, sensor technology, authoring procedures, generating reports, and other technical activities. Additionally, these individuals assist customers with the operation and maintenance of General Dynamics Mission Systems systems. Team members also provide technical expertise to users and company personnel both domestically and internationally.
Candidates must show a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of electronic security systems, and the ability to further advance and support General Dynamics Mission Systems. They should demonstrate sophisticated problem solving skills, as well as an ability to design, develop and implement innovative General Dynamics Mission Systems business solutions.
Nuclear Weapons Security Field Engineering Technicians must have a high school diploma or equivalent and two to four years of relevant work experience. Applicants with an associates degree also qualify.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Navy's Personnel Reliability Program controlled billet. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
