The St. Louis office of Parsons Brinckerhoff has an immediate opening for a Planner II. This position will work closely with project managers and other project staff to perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard techniques. The Planner II will be responsible for planning, programming, researching, analyzing, documenting and other associated activities in support of the traffic, planning, environmental and public involvement activities associated with large or small projects. Work requires contact with governmental agencies, contractors, the public and other PB personnel.

Job Duties Include:
      • Conduct preliminary project-level needs assessments. Collects, analyzes, interprets and documents data
      • Maintain strong communication skills; both written and verbal
      • Assist in project analysis using GIS
      • Work with communities and clients in establishing goals and strategies and help prioritize plans moving forward
      • Stay abreast of policies, procedures and legislation
      • Develop statistical or baseline description performance measures of small projects or segments of larger projects
      • Provide technical direction of the development and execution of planning research
      • Research economic, demographic, fiscal, legal and/or technical variables for specific projects
      • Act as a lead worker for small scale projects or quality management teams.
      • Assist in the development planning studies to include feasibility studies, master plans, mobility and transportation plans
      • Create graphics for deliverables using indesign and other graphical tools
      • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Education Required:
      • Bachelor's degree in planning, engineering, or related field
Experience/Skills Required:
      • A minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in planning or research-related activities
      • Working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software
Desired Qualifications:
      • Knowledge of InDesign or other graphical programs

The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
