About the role
Interserve Healthcare is a leading care provider who puts care at the heart of everything we do. We support a range of clients varying in age and care requirements which can include mental health, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and clients with more complex clinical needs.

We are currently recruiting Support Workers to provide care and support to a 10 year old child near Woodbridge with a traumatic brain injury which has resulted in delayed cognitive development and epilepsy. Support is predominantly after school hours, some weekends and longer days during the school holidays.

Our client is a wheelchair user who can walk a few steps with support. He is a happy boy who has limited communication, but responds well to interactions.

He loves his trike and music, especially the guitar. His family are accessing disabled riding and sailing for him, which you would accompany him on.

We are looking for a team of support workers to work regular hours with him, made up of the following hours:

Monday to Friday 16.00am-20.00pm term time.
Weekends and school holidays 10.00am - 20.00pm.

Rates of pay range from £9.89 to £13.26 per hour.

We are happy to hear from Support Workers with any regular availability that matches any of the required hours as we can be flexible as long as you have regular availability, ie one or two evenings a week.

Following skills & experience required:
• 6 months previous care experience (essential)
• Experience of working with clients with complex care needs - (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and listening - (essential)
• Have a caring and compassionate attitude - (essential)
• Can commit to regular hours - (desirable)

The following skills and experience not relating directly to the position advertised would be desirable if you are interested in working in other care packages.
