You will be joining an established housing association focussing on making their tenants lives better. You will be joining a leading housing association in Somerset who is committed in providing safe and vibrant communities which people can make their homes.
Your new role
As a support worker you will be providing support to vulnerable young people within the yeovil area. As a support worker you will be expected to carry out assessments and take referrals in line with the organisation's policies. You are expected to provide the highest support to service users in accordance to the organisations policies and procedures. As a support worker you will contribute to the overall aims and objectives of organisation and facilitate service users mental health recovery. As a support worker you will draw up crisis management plans for each referral within 24 hours of arrival. As a support worker you will carry out risk and needs assessments to promote the health and well being of all service users. As a support worker you will be working on a rota basis including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this support worker role you must be able to work flexibly in the service. As a support worker experience of key working in the fields of mental health, housing, emergency accommodation and/ or supported housing is essential. You must have extensive experience in working in a person-centred manner, focused on recovery, as well as working with vulnerable clients. A DBS is essential for this role, so you must either have one or provide the documents in order for us to process a DBS on your behalf.
