Manufacture complex components, fabrications and sub-assemblies that are used to build market leading scientific instruments that the Company sells Worldwide.

The Role
To support stores to ensure the smooth running of the picking and packing of orders received from Customers (internal and external)

Handling, recording and storing stock delivered in all stores area
Picking, recording and loading stock leaving the warehouse
Packing goods for despatch from warehouse
Arranging shipping of stock with agents
General administration of goods in and out of the warehouse including completing paperwork manually and entering data on computer system
Monitoring and reporting stock levels in accordance with stock control guidelines/instructions

The Candidate
Ideally experience working in logistics
Fork lift licence preferable
Knowledge of metal raw materials
Knowledge of appropriate packing required (product dependant)
Physically fit person capable of manually handling (up to 25 kgs)
Ability to read stock/order lists and labels in order to pick and locate goods and store them appropriately, including lot traceable parts
Ability to count items and perform basic mathematical tasks
Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision and to take responsibility for filling orders - good organisation skills
Ability to quickly and accurately enter data on computer, read and interpret computer data and printouts (Attention to detail)
Ability to organise workload to meet deadlines
Ability to work well in a team environment and support colleagues
Ability to follow management instructions and guidelines
Good communication skills including listening to and interpreting instructions, passing on information quickly and effectively

The Package
Contract duration likely to be 2 weeks, due to heavy workload. The minimum hourly rate of pay for this position is £9 per hour. Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
