Granite Search & Selection is a specialist headhunting business, placing white-collar professionals within the Construction and Design sectors. Established in 2008 by Paula Mitchell, Granite Search & Selection has an annual turnover of £15million and is growing rapidly. Based in the heart of the City of London, our clients include bespoke design houses and major main contracting construction companies.
PREVIOUS RECRUITMENT EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL. You will be responsible for all temporary and permanent, operational and commercial positions, within interior subcontractors (excluding M&E). Coverage will include London and the surrounding Home Counties.
Interior subcontractors will include (but are not limited to); dry lining, carpentry/joinery, partitioning, flooring and ceiling companies.
Operational positions include the following; Foremen, Assistant Site Manager / Site Manager / Senior Site Manager, Project Manager, Operations Manager and Contracts Manager.
Commercial positions include the following; Graduate/Trainee Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Commercial Manager, etc.
This is a warm desk in a brand new remit, covering white collar trades and labour.

â€¢ Basic Salary: £25,000-32,500 dependent on billing (with an optional 6-12 month guarantee on previous earnings)
â€¢ Commission: No threshold, uncapped (up to 25%)
â€¢ On Target Earnings Year 1: c.£52,000-60,000 (based upon £200k projected billing)

DAY TO DAY
As an Associate, you will form an invaluable part of the business working on an allocated team, running your own desk. You will provide a consultative approach to both candidates and clients, advising on the current market, salary benchmarks and industry activity.
Your primary focus will be in line with sales based activities, including; new business generation, maintaining existing client relationships and contact, canvas calls, client calls, identifying and following up new business leads and opportunities, writing job specifications and networking with candidates and clients.
You will also be working closely with an allocated resourcer to help identify, source and select candidates to shortlist for your client vacancy requirements. You will provide your resourcer with feedback and guidance throughout this process, to ensure that only the best candidates are selected and put forward to our clients.
A typical week will include; taking speculative calls, aftercare and service calls to new and existing candidates and clients, attending candidate and client meetings, writing and sending mail shots, headhunting talent, approaching candidates and clients via telephone, email and social media platforms (such as LinkedIn), reference checks, qualifying client job specifications, attending team strategy meetings and meeting your agreed targets.
Training will be provided throughout your journey with us and is continuous at all levels to ensure you become a specialist in your field. Your training will be provided via internal and external sources, including sessions conducted by previous clients who still work closely with us as a business.
