Our Client based in norwich is looking for a Commercial Contracts Assistant with construction and commercial steel work experience to join their team. |
To work within a small but busy team under the direct supervision of the Commercial/Contracts Director.
Must have a good knowledge of the Structural Steel/Construction Industry.
Must represent the best interests of the Company at all times in a professional and positive manner and be a good team player, who will make a positive contribution to the Management team and maintain an effective/positive relationship with the wider Company team.
RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE ROLE
To assist in the hire of site plant to ensure the site works are carried out in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
To assist in the project health, safety, quality and environmental issues.
To produce Method Statements (in conjunction with the Site team), ensure Risk Assessments and all associated documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
To assist in managing and monitoring the Contract snagging/close out process and collation of the Handover Certificates.
To manage the production of the As-Built and O&M documentation, in completion of the Contracts.
To advise variations throughout the contract.
To assist with booking-in and printing off enquiries.
To use electronic system to carry out take-offs from drawings. Previous knowledge of reading drawings would be beneficial but not essential, as training would be given.
To prepare the accurate and timely submission of quotations from templates, to clients.
To liaise with clients and suppliers in an efficient and professional manner and follow up submission of our tenders.
Assist with Purchase Orders if necessary on Petrol Forecourt projects and produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments to suit the site.
To carry out general office duties as required (photocopying, printing, etc.)
To visit sites and attend pre-contract meetings from time to time.
Hours: 8.30am ? 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
½ Hour Lunch Break, 25 Days Holiday per Annum
Salary: £18 -£30k ? depending on experience
