2 X NHS Project Managers are required on a 3 month contract basis (with a view to become permanent) based in Frimley.|
Working for a well established organisation you will be working Under the direction of the Programme manager and the Senior Project Manager and the post holder will lead a portfolio of IM&T projects.
Role and responsibilities:
-Responsible for short, medium and long term project planning
-Responsible for the project's overall progress and use of resources
-Producing business cases that impact organisation wide
-Ensuring that all project document is delivered to a high level in line with IM&T standards including project plans, risk and issue logs, quality logs and issue logs.
-Where required complete other project documentation required by the Senior Project Manager such as Project initiation documents, project closure and lessons learned reports.
-Developing plans to address project risks and issues and taking action to implement.
-Escalating project risks and issues that cannot be resolved at project level.
-Collaborating with other project managers on dependencies across the complete IM&T project portfolio
-Ensuring that changes within the project are managed and that the impact of any individual project change is related back to its impact upon the IM&T programme as a whole.
-Ensuring that IM&T agreed change control procedures are implemented and are actively used to assess the effect of any change to the project in terms of cost, timescales and resources
-Ensuring that these changes and their impact are reported to the Project Board and that corrective action is taken where necessary.
project management experience - in complex NHS hospital environment or equivalent
-Experience of delivering and completing an IM&T project of at least £100k in value or involving over 20 stakeholders
-Evidence of managing multiple projects
-Understanding of principles, methods, techniques and tools for effective project management
-Understanding of principles, methods, techniques and tools for effective communication strategies
-Experience of developing and delivering
Degree or equivalent experience
Prince 2 Practitioner
Evidence of continuing professional and management development
ITIL v2 or v3 Foundation Certification or higher and MS Project knowledge / qualification (desirable but not essential)
For this role you may be required to work out of hours to support projects during times of key activity.
This role is to pay up to £25.50 per hour (ltd/ umbrella) and is to start ASAP with a very strong view to become permanent
