I am currently recruiting for a Network Portfolio planner for a large organisation in Warwickshire. As a Network Portfolio Planner It will be part of your responsibility to strategically plan and manage outage works, liaising with sites, engineers and customers ensuring all risk and impact assessments are taken into consideration. You will be a logical thinker with the ability to multitask, influence and negotiate.|
As a Network Portfolio Planner It is essential for you to have previous planning experience and an appreciation for complex assets within a property portfolio.
As a Network Portfolio Planner the role entails
Build and be accountable for a rolling and dynamic plan for all operational and capital works within a specified area
Prioritise work to be delivered ensuring that all National Grid outcome targets are considered, aligned and planned optimally in order to be met utilising a robust deliverable plan.
Utilise resource skill sets appropriately and plan the appropriate outages for all works ensuring that the outage requirements are negotiated and confirmed with the System Operator.
Confirm with the delivery teams and also share with the wider business, the 90 day plan for which deliverability has been agreed normal process.
Ensure timely safety risk assessments are initiated where maintenance has been deferred and assess and manage any constraints to determine any mitigating actions which are required to meet area targets and ensure plan deliverability
Work collaboratively with delivery organisations to co-ordinate and manage conflict in the plan through cross functional working to determine whether the work mix can be adjusted to meet the outcome target as and when required
Identify opportunities to flex work within the portfolio escalating any issues to the cross functional teams.
The skills desired as a Network Portfolio Planner are as follows
Minimum HNC (GNVQ level 4 qualification) preferably in an engineering discipline or the relevant experience in a previous role
Experience of building, communicating and managing complex agile plans in a high pressured environment.
Ability to effectively prioritise work and justify decision
Understanding of the business context to support and inform Portfolio decision making
Being able to formulate robust work plans and to appropriately debate/challenge conflicting views
Demonstrated ability to multi task and prioritise workloads in a high paced environment and to tight deadlines
Management of resource plans and other constraints in an operational environment
Proven flexibility to adapt positively to change, with an appetite to lead and support others in a changing environment
