The role of software Tester is to include assessing products, checking for quality and accuracy and developing and maintaining the quality processes in line with our clients company test strategy. To also include the requirement to provide support for both internal and external customers in the product suite, to include supporting of product training.
Salary £30,000- £33,000 PA depending on experience.
Duration Up to 12 Month?s contract to cover maternity Leave- Full Time

Location of Work You would be based at our client?s Head office on the outskirts of Stafford, Staffordshire which is situated between Stafford and Wolverhampton. The location is easily accessible via car and bus routes.
Hours of Work 8.45am- 5.15pm Monday to Friday.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Design Validation. About 10% of the job.
Review features of Product in Design Specifications and actively engage with Business Analysts and Developers to ensure the soundness of the proposed solutions from the user?s perspective.
Testing of Products. About 60% of the jo
Be actively involved in testing projects, and contribute to project deliverables along with other members of the Testing Team. This will include various flavours of testing to verify software conformance to defined acceptance criteria and feature design documents. For example:-
Compatibility ? OS, Databases, Devices etc
Installation and Configuration
Also have an ongoing knowledge and understanding of our clients Products and how these fit with their overall Product Suite.
Production of Testing Documentation. About 15% of the job.
Produce test plans, strategies, test scripts, testing evidence and other testing related documentation as required by projects. Review in conjunction with Test Manager and ensure any changes are applied.
Customer and Internal Support. About 10% of the job.
Provide the necessary support for Customers on Products which have been released, which may include the requirement for on-site support. This support may include best practice advice from business usage reviews and training for BETA test programmes and customer implementations. Support internal staff will include product demonstrations, input to training programmes and providing best practice support.
Tools and Processes. About 5% of the job.
Contribute to the design and maintenance of processes and procedures and supporting documents covering all aspects of our clients testing to ensure efficient, repeatable and high quality testing is undertaken on all projects. This should include test strategies, planning, execution, incident and defect management, and project reporting (including test summary reports). Help manage re-usable test plans and testing data sets for re-use across projects.
