Our client is one of the world's leading providers of services and technology to the nuclear generation industry.|
They are looking to recruit a Graduate Risk Analyst reporting to the Director of group business assurance. The role is based at head office within the Commercial Risk team which is responsible for delivering accurate and timely management information.
As a member of the Commercial Risk team your responsibilities will include
-Reviewing and quantifying the value of risks within sales and logistics offers/contracts such that recommendations for reducing the risks can be made
-Performing due diligence on business counterparties
-Providing analytical support for key business activities, both financial and non-financial
-Verifying that financial (treasury) transactions are confirmed and executed correctly, with no unauthorized or incorrect transactions taking place
-Support the preparation of data and conclusions for management reports comprising commodity and physical position reports, financial exposure reports (Mark-To-Market valuation and credit exposure analysis), cash flow forecasting, credit rating, ad-hoc analysis and reports
-Providing model development services where there is a requirement (both financial and non-financial) including investment and contract pricing structures
-Ensuring data accuracy; resolve, discuss and/or escalate issues and anomalies
-Ensuring business process compliance at all times
-Be responsible for own continuous personal development
-A good degree in a numerate subject - such as Maths, Science, Business, IT
-Experience of working in an analytical role is desirable
-Experience of using MS Office applications, particularly Excel to an advanced level is essential.
-Strong analytical skills are essential
-Must be able to work under pressure against deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
-Need to be a team player as well as being able to work individually.
