This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the current and future business growth of an oilfield and process equipment manufacturer and for the market leading manufacturer of agitators, static mixers and heat exchangers. Acting under the guidance of the Project Manager, you will utilise your technical knowledge and professional experience to contribute to the manufacturing and delivery of our products. As Project Engineer you will liaise with the Product engineering teams onsite and offsite. An appreciation of the commercial implications of engineering decision making, ability to work effectively with other team members with a keen focus on delivery are critical to your success in this role. You will take ownership of projects undertaking Engineering and production activities required for the purpose of troubleshooting, document checking in order to satisfy customer requirements. You should be keen to take on fresh challenges, develop your technical and interpersonal skills as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting projects.


As part of the Project team, support the development strategy of the NOV Process and Flow Technologies UK Ltd.
Liaise with intercompany, intracompany and external teams and customers to ascertain the project requirements with regards to engineering scope. Interrogate drawings and 3D models to identify any shortages or anomalies prior to commencement of project manufacture.
Liaise with the manufacturing departments and vendors during production of equipment to obtain satisfactory resolution to any problems and assist in trouble shooting.
Review and understand client (internal & external) scopes and contracts ensuring proper reviews and planning is undertaken
Produce Project schedules and plans from defined requirements, contracts and specifications
Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
Prepare project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends; recommending actions.
Communicate plans and reports to various interdisciplinary teams and disciplines
Preparation and release of manufacturing work orders to production.
Planning and organisation of personal workload.
Carry out assigned duties within given timescale.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in work area and department.
Attend meetings where required and communicate actions to others for the successful completion of the project.
Attend project close out meetings and provide input to improvement processes.
Be fully familiar and fully conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times.
Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager.
Travel is occasionally required as dictated by project needs.

HND or Degree in an Engineering, technical or numeric discipline or equivalent

Tertiary education in an Engineering / Manufacturing discipline

Working knowledge and technical understanding of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, machining and inspection techniques
Participate/chair meetings

Working knowledge within the oil and gas or petrochemical industries Working knowledge within an industrial mixing applications environment

Skills, training or special knowledge
Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
ERP Systems (JDE/Oracle)
Ability to interpret engineering documents and drawings to enable manufacturing without ambiguity
Ability to develop and apply appropriate Engineering analyses

Have an understanding of common place industry materials and their application
User of SolidWorks 3D CAD software and EPDM
Able to use AutoCAD for 2D work
Knowledge of Machinery, PED, NORSOK and ATEX Directives and their application
