Project Manager ? Nuclear

We are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager who has nuclear and NEC3 contract experience to join our clients Nuclear Division based in Teesside.

This role is very customer facing and you would be very involved with the customer directly.

Lead and coordinate designated projects including planning, resourcing, staffing and troubleshooting. Plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation to completion. The role includes liaising with customers, suppliers, engineers and key site personnel, managing multi-million pound contracts, monitoring and reporting project status directly to the Business Unit Director. A significant element of the role includes the plan, design and modification of production processes to include engineering improvements for health & safety, cost and quality.

Key duties and responsibilities

Managing project development from beginning to end
Development and implementation of new product introduction process, as and when required
Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders
Estimating the resources and staff needed to achieve project goals
Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and recruiting if necessary during project cycle
Delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
Complete progress reports, outlining on-going timeline, issues and providing problem resolutions
Client Relations, growing and establishing new and existing client relationships
Managing machine refurbishment and support maintenance and development work
Working with maintenance teams to investigate downtime to its root cause
Implementing machinery improvements to increase reliability
Implement and Support lean manufacturing where appropriate
Provide technical support for root Cause Analysis and MBR through regular project audits
Using knowledge and experience to assist in the repair of machines when requested

Experience of NEC3 contracts essential
Nuclear industry experience desirable
Strong problem solving skills, including root causes analysis
A creative approach to developing new ideas
The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Project management skills
Strong time management and planning skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Negotiation Skills

APQP and process engineering advantageous
Prince 2 qualification, or other recognised project management qualification advantageous
