We have an exciting new opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join an industry leader in the design and manufacture of a variety of Heat Exchangers. The Production Supervisor will be tasked to lead a small team with responsibility for the manufacture of components, machining sheet metal work and Assembly in line with agreed delivery dates. |
The ?Hands-On? Production Supervisor will have a mechanically biased background ideally from within a Sheet Metal or Machine Shop environment, be able to read engineering drawings and diagrams and be confident in the use of a variety of hand tools.
Responsibilities / Duties:
+ Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business
+ Ensure that the company?s procedures are followed
+ Carry out any relevant administrative tasks including the use of computers (Excel & Word.)
+ To ensure that all relevant equipment is used safely at all times.
+ Effective implementation of the Health and Safety practices in the relevant areas in line with Company policy.
To lead Health & Safety Audits, Risk Assessments and Process Control Procedures when required.
+ The day to day supervision of production personnel. Including the control of taking holidays and to monitor sickness and absence.
+ To ensure quality of parts manufactured within area and to implement a right first time culture.
+ Promote and monitor the correct use of documentation and make sure all Staff are taking responsibility for their quality and signing the Travelers to verify so.
+ Monitoring & reporting of activity to ensure completion in a timely manner against priorities and timescales set by the Production Manager.
+ Advice and deal with overloads / issues within area.
+ To maintain accurate data regarding work progress & performance.
