A leading FTSE250 company are currently recruiting for a Product Process Improvement Engineer to be based at their manufacturing site near Basingstoke.
The Process Improvement Engineer/Manager will lead projects within the Product Support and Release team to optimise production efficiency. This will include validating alternative materials and processes. You will act as the interface between Development teams and delivery teams to ensure that delivery involvement is efficient and effective, working on well structured trials and experiments, data requirements are well understood. You will be responsible for Standard Operating Practices and Materials specification of projects at execution phase.
The Process Improvement Engineer will be involved in value engineering and product optimisation and work with other sites and teams to reduce the cost-to-sales through improved processes, better defined product specification and better value materials. You will be involved in validation of third party features using the stage gate process and best practice to minimise factory overhead.
To be considered for the role you will ideally have a Degree/HND level qualification in Engineering or Materials Science and a Six Sigma Certification or similar. You will demonstrate industrial experience in bringing products to market and commercial experience in building and proposing viable business cases for high cost/value improvement projects. You will lead a cross functional team in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. A strong statistical analysis background to include fault finding, measurement system evaluation and root cause analysis tools.
