The University is seeking to appoint an Energy Manager to manage and monitor complex Combined Heat and Power (CHP) contracts, to manage, develop and monitor complex Building Management Systems (BMS), to oversee the formulation and implementation of energy policies for the University, to monitor energy consumption and promote energy efficiency across the University and advise on existing and emerging environmental legislation. In addition the Energy Manager will be involved in the setting of energy consumption targets for buildings and monitoring performance against these targets.
Applicants should have a relevant degree combined with a professional qualification in engineering or related field together with proven experience of managing energy issues in a multi-operational site and experience and an understanding of the tariff systems, together with a good knowledge of energy grants and environmental legislation. You will also need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to persuade and negotiate successfully
