FMCG Manufacturer

A leading Global FMCG Manufacturer is currently seeking an Engineering Manager from a Food or Drink Manufacturing back ground with experience in high automation manufacturing to join their senior management team and lead the engineering function.

You will ideally be a degree qualified or equivalent and used to working in a High paced, FMCG Food or Drink Manufacturing facility. You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills with previous man management of a team of circa 40 working on shifts within a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Engineering Manager responsibilities include:

Identifying maintenance improvement opportunities and developing an action plan to deliver.
Achieve site Key Performance Indicators (KPI`s) in respect to equipment performance, reliability and breakdown, maintenance completion, safety, attendance, budgetary performance.
Promote and support the company quality & safety standards, focusing on continuous improvement whilst contributing to the companies lean strategy, and demonstrating the company values and behaviours.
Development & implementation of the site maintenance strategy
CAPEX roadmap development and delivery to mitigate obsolescence, essential replacement and safety improvement issues.
Project delivery within agreed framework and scale
Development and delivery of the facilities agenda
Energy & utilities management & improvement
Leadership, organisation and development of the engineering team
Development of site recruitment roadmap and apprentice training programme to mitigate foreseeable vacancies.
Manage minor projects which deliver professional standards and maintain competitive edge
Co-ordinate shut down activities and deliver planned work to time / cost / quality requirements
Promote and deliver PPM programme
