Water is our most precious resource and the UK is presently investing £44bn into our national infrastructure over a five year period. One organisation takes the provision of clean, safe drinking water very seriously - so much so that this is all they do. |
Based in Hertfordshire they proudly supply 900m litres of water every single day to homes and business across the South East and they want to carry on doing it safely, efficiently and with minimum impact to the environment for years to come.
If you`re a Project Manager within the water sector then you`ll know how important your job is to countless people who rely on you.
You provide innovative solutions to critical resource problems, ensure the network is maintained and have a close eye on the impact to the environment around you.
Now you`ve got the chance to do this for a company that, if you`re working for a consultancy or a contractor, may well be your client.
This key role will involve working on two main projects; a 2 year, £3.8m telemetry replacement programme and an ICA refresh which is worth £3m over a 3.5 year period. If you`re interested in managing these schemes then it`s likely you come from an ICA background and have the ability to undertake the following:
- Provide strategic direction to project team
- Plan and design the project plan and proactively monitor its overall progress, the interdependencies and resolving issues/mitigating risks and initiating corrective action as appropriate
- Ensure project deliverables are met in accordance with schedule, quality and cost
- Team resource management including people resource need, team set up, specific recruitment needs
Now obviously there`s a good package involved but that`s not the part to focus on. That`s a by-product of your hard work and commitment - your commitment to your profession, your progression and your pride.
You won`t be the only Project Manager there, either. There`s an experienced team around you who want to help and they all pull together to get the job done.
Funnily, this doesn`t just lie with the Project Management team as this is a good company with good people. People who want to stay and want to help. People that take pride in their work and that care about not just what we`re doing now, but how it will impact our future
