Our clients products are used in a range of demanding environments and systems in industrial and defence sectors which demand that products are thoroughly tested and documented. The Quality Assurance Engineer's responsibilities are to ensure that the products meet the requirements and function correctly before they are released for production. The Quality Assurance Engineer will therefore be an important part of the Engineering design team.
In particular the successful candidate will be involved in all the following:
* Design proving single board computer products, including functional test and measurements
* Various forms of environmental testing
* EMC testing
* Design reviewing
* Providing a level of Pre and post-sales backup to our technical support team
As the team expands, we also expect more opportunities to develop such as system design and development and project leading roles.
Candidates should be engineering graduates, able to demonstrate practical post graduate experience of digital hardware testing, and be familiar with some or all of the following:
* 32/64 bit microprocessors, preferably Intel 80x86 architecture
* Operating system installation - Windows and Linux preferred
* Environmental testing including thermal, performance and EMC testing
* Use of oscilloscopes for high speed logic signal quality checking
* Test plan preparation and execution
* Report writing
You will be part of a small team with responsibility for thorough and well documented work, so you will need to have the ability to work to demanding timescales, and be able to maintain a high level of enthusiasm and commitment to the projects. The candidate should be able to approach the role in a methodical and logical manner and to be able to use their own initiative to solve any issues that may arise from the testing. Any issues found during testing will need to be communicated clearly back to the design engineers. The role is challenging but the prospects are excellent for capable engineers, as our client aims to quickly develop many more new products spanning several platforms.
Very competitive salary package. Company-supported private pension scheme. Non-contributory private medical and health insurance schemes. Relocation assistance, where appropriate.
