Our client is currently seeking a candidate who can provide independent technical safety engineering advice to ensure that the risks to personnel on North Sea assets are managed to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP), thereby ensuring compliance with corporate objectives and UK legislation.|
Experience in technical safety activities with regards to operational and production support
The successful candidate will have a good understanding and knowledge of UK legislation (including OSCR, PFEER, PSR, MAR, DCR) and main regulatory bodies. They will have experience in ensuring major hazards are effectively assessed, evaluated and managed in accordance with relevant statutory and corporate requirements. They will be required to maintain Operations Safety Cases and associated documentation for North Sea assets.
They will also undertake the assessment, evaluation and management of cumulative risk where Safety Critical Elements are identified as impaired. And also provide independent technical safety engineering advice on modifications, technical queries, maintenance and projects to ensure that our client fulfils its responsibilities under the legal framework. They will chair and attending ORAs and Bowtie Assessments as required as well as identifying and initiating safety studies by supporting external consultants carrying out these studies to ensure delivery of effective technical solutions.
You will be a degree qualified safety engineer with demonstrable experience within the oil and gas industry with operations and production support.
