About the Role:|
We're seeking an experienced Contract Manager / Specialist whose role is to manage contracts for Severn Trent Water, providing support to both STW and contract staff on a daily basis.
You will be responsible for achieving the intention of the employer's objectives for providing contracted services, as well as for developing and implementing the strategic direction for supplier performance, terms compliance and cost management.
A key aspect of this role is fully understanding the details of relevant contracts in order to facilitate the successful delivery of the contract. You will also actively seek opportunities for contract efficiencies, values and identify contract leakage and actions to recover, identity and deliver between 2 and 5% incremental value.
Finally you will produce monthly contract position statements including volumes, KPI's and payments as well as continually identifying contract and commercial risk, ensuring clear allocation of risk mitigation plans.
With experience of NEC type contract and framework agreements, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiating, influencing and communication skills. You will also have the ability to identify commercial opportunities.
Strong problem solving skills are essential for this position, along with analytical skills using 7S and other problem solving tools. Project Management experience is also desirable.
Furthermore, having 5 to 10 years' experience in a commercial environment dealing with complex contracts, you will have the skills required to project manage initiatives tracking and ensuring delivery against key milestones. Also necessary, is the ability to identify risks and manage as appropriate.
Finally, you will possess the ability to present complex ideas and take a consultative approach with stakeholders, using negotiation skills and effective communication in the process.
