GDMS has an immediate opening for a Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Systems Engineer to join our Colorado Springs, CO team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to create and manage various GDMS and client technologies. Senior RF Systems Engineers analyze, design, develop and test GDMS systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Additional Responsibilities include formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis; selecting systems architecture; and preparing specifications for GDMS operating systems to ensure designs meet applicable security specifications. These individuals may also be asked to document security on both new and fielded information systems or provide accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features are considered and functioning properly. Work will be performed in support of the Defensive Counterspace System (DCS) sustainment efforts at our prime's facility in Colorado Springs, CO.

  • Provide ad hoc engineering analysis and support based upon site-specific needs
  • Prepare Engineering Review Board (ERB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) packages
  • Collaborate with sub-contractors to research and implement hardware design fixes and changes
  • Perform system hardware installation
  • Identify hardware replacement parts
  • Provide system RF analysis
  • Follow service-oriented architecture technology & industry best practices
  • Conduct hardware testing, installation and checkout
  • Support help desk activities

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems and the ability to further advance GDMS technology.

The Senior RF Systems Engineer position requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer software, systems engineering or other technical engineering degree and at least two to five years of related work experience. Applicants with a master's degree and a minimum of zero to two years of related experience are also eligible.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire with an ability to acquire TS/SCI access within 24 months of hire, as required. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
