We are seeking a Water Resources/Stormwater Engineer with strong modeling and design skills to join our New York Water Resources Group. Typical projects involve stormwater, floodplain management and other watershed planning projects, climate change adaptation projects, and design, permitting, and construction oversight of flood mitigation/stormwater/site/civil projects.

      • Experience in the modeling, design and regulatory permitting of drainage studies, stormwater collection systems, Best management and LID Practices, and erosion control for construction is required.
      • Technical proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS Software is required, with further experience in the use of Revit/BIM, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and PCSWMM, StormCAD and similar software. Familiarity with site survey requirements, and floodplain analysis is required. Additional experience in the preparation of construction documents and shop drawing review would be beneficial.
      • Utilize competency and experience in multiple disciplines including hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater design, conveyance systems design, green infrastructure and watershed assessment.
      • Apply regulatory knowledge with NYSDEC, FEMA, USACE, NYSDOT, USDOT and FHWA, and,
      • Domestic and international travel, when necessary.

Job Requirements
      • Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred) in Civil or Environmental engineering is required.
      • Preferred candidate would have at least 3 years of experience in studies and design of water resources and stormwater collection system projects.
      • Strong technical skills in hydraulics, water resources and understanding of collection systems and watersheds.
      • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
