About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
Provides leadership, guidance, management, and programmatic expertise to a deployed staff (OCONUS location) supporting the US Air Force, Air Combat Command, Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations Support. The Relay Site lead will provide overall site lead services at the assigned location and report directly to the UASOCS Progra m Manager. T asks under the leadership and directions of this position include, but are not limited to:
Interface with Government and contract leadership in establishing and reporting project/task order status and metrics, such as SATCOM system status, schedule, cost, and resource allocation.
Direct and prioritize system availability and technician activities for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Maintain changes to project/task order baselines, monitor deliverables, and conduct periodic reviews in accordance with contractual requirements. Partner with Government counterparts to ensure overarching program executions. Achieves customer goals and objectives. Ensure that site personnel perform tasks in accordance with published technical data and within safety policies and procedures.
Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems a plus.
Candidate must possess at TS clearance.
DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Certification, Technician Level II and DoD 8570.01-M Technician Level II network environment (NE) and advanced level computing environment (CE) certifications is required.
Experience in supporting/maintaining satellite/remote split operations (RSO) communications (i.e. Tactical Field Terminals; Fixed Site SATCOM Terminal; SATCOM Earth Terminal Sub-System; Ground Multi-ban Terminals) is highly desired.
Selected candidate must have recent experience successfully managing contract/task order that have over 10 personnel. Other Essential Functions/Requirements:
Possess effective communication skills by conveying clear, concise and accurate information.
Must have ability to work well with office staff and customer representatives.
Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others
Must be able to travel to support position requirements. This may include travel to and from customer locations, which may involve airline travel. .Physical Requirements: Working at a computer or desk (Considerations: sitting, eyes, hands). May involve long periods of sitting or standing depending on current tasking. Must be able to carry a maximum of 35lbs and occasional climbing. May be exposed to areas of high noise levels. May be required to ascend/descend ladders and work platforms.
Work Environment: Work mainly involves an inside office environment/cubicle but will require periodic work outside at the SATCOM terminal locations. (Considerations: closed quarters, close together, limited lighting). Must be able to commute between buildings and SATCOM terminal locations to support work requirements. Independent transportation is necessary to support work requirements and to arrive at work site. No unusual hazards on job site or any unusual environmental conditions exist.
Equipment and Machines: Possess familiarity/proficiency with a personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, laser printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies
Attendance: Full-time regular work hours between Monday-Friday (excluding Saturday & Sunday). Position may require occasional weekend and evening work depending on task requirements. Position will require late afternoon attendance to interface with home station customer meeting Monday through Friday. Regular attendance is extremely important.
PMP or equivalent certification is desired.
Masters Degree is preferred
