Title: Inventory Coordinator This is a full time position with our client located at their warehouse in Delta, BC. The incumbent ensures that inventory is accurate and that the warehouse has optimum levels of sale-able inventory. The incumbent ensures that inventory is slotted correctly to prevent picking and cycle counting errors and shorts, processes returns, and monitors/investigates the causes of negative bins, damages, and shorts. The incumbent also provides analytical and administrative support for the warehouse by maintaining inventory data and coordinating projects. Things You Need to Have: Community College is preferred Strong computer skills, very familiar with MS Office tools Background in Procurement and Supply Chain Management Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management Microsoft NAV and WMS/ERP experience an asset Solid business acumen and demonstrates organizational and time management skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Strong sense of urgency and an ability to adapt to changing requirements and handle multiple demands at the same time Detail oriented and strong analytical abilities Positive Attitude Ability to deal with highly-sensitive, confidential information Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills What you will be doing: Handle returns: Confirm quantities returned from stores Receive put away items - attach bar codes to return and put away products Post returns to create invoice on NAV Complete transfers for product going to warehouses other than MGR Handles returns questions from all departments Slot product: Setup appropriate locations for new items; relocate existing items Prepare labels Co-ordinate with receiving so that new items are setup before arrival Remove discontinued items from inventory Investigate Shorts: Complete Short Report to determine why items from previous day were shorted e.g., no stock, received late, picking error, etc. Verify items shorted on completed pick list Notify Replenishers of which items need to be put into stock to prevent shorting Investigate Spoilage and Waste: Write off damaged goods and investigate cause of damage Make sure daily inventory adjustment at the right reason code Investigate Negative Bin: Check bin content on items as well as warehouse entries to see if the item is short, was replenished incorrectly, if the correct item is in the bin, or if the inventory is off. Make adjustments on inventory when it is inaccurate e.g., two products are in stock but not reported in inventory Monitor, enter and register daily pick reports Provide administrative support to Manager, Warehouse Inventory Control Monitor dead stock items, FIFO, and aged inventory Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory counts and investigate and correct inventory discrepancies Provide direction and guidance to selectors, reach truck operators, shipper-receivers, as required; Operate equipment (lift truck, reach truck, powered pallet truck) as required to perform replenishment function and provide shipping and receiving duties; Recommend changes in operating procedures and equipment as required to improve efficiency or enhance safety; Opens and closes the warehouse facility as required For information about TEEMA Solutions Group and to consider other career opportunities, please visit our website at NA
