Johnston Equipment is looking for someone who can bring in a fresh perspective to the material handling industry and will be confident in heading the Power Division, in which they will be responsible for ensuring that the business unit achieves financial, strategic, and operational goals with regards to driving the sales of power equipment such as batteries, chargers, and accessories. With their knack to think creatively, the majority of their duties will involve executing sales and marketing tactics, developing new sales channels, and diversifying their market share by uncovering opportunities within the industry. As a networker, their interpersonal and persuasive skills will be beneficial in supporting the sales efforts with customer negotiations, building and maintaining relationships with external partners, liaising and partnering with vendors to increase sales, and working internally to get plans and programs implemented. The Business Development Manager will work to collaboratively and proactively support the acquisition of new accounts in designated areas and in defining approaches that will generate leads. As a self-starter who thinks ahead, you will be able to evaluate situations by monitoring key sales metrics and administer strategic plans. More specifically, you will manage projects by consistently examining sales performance, observing how it has been impacted on a national level, and devising annual budget targets by utilizing your analytical skills to prepare forecasts based on data trends, profits, and losses over a period of time.
