Role: Engineering Shift Manager (4on 4 off)|
Salary: up to 49k+ Family Health Care + 10% Bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen at one of the most established and reputable food manufacturing companies in the UK for an Engineering Shift Manager who will achieve a minimum of 80% PE across the site by the elimination of breakdowns and speed losses to deliver 95% mechanical efficiency by machine. You?ll eliminate all chronic issues by the structure, design, and implementation of an effective asset care system to support Factory performance.
As the Engineering Shift Manager?.
You?ll provide a structured support function to the operational teams in the Factory, that maximises line running time, supports the Factory and Shift Managers to achieve PE and OEE targets.
You?ll use your Engineering Manager experience to drive and support the reduction of all planned activities in both frequency and duration using SMED and other appropriate techniques
You?ll drive a ?Total? asset care culture for the site through effective communication at all levels in the business demonstrating value for money, focused on line performance reliability.
This is a high pressure environment, complex and ambiguous, and needs an experienced fast paced individual to bring their skills and behaviours and drive and implement real change. Someone who is committed, flexible and knows what world class looks like, can deal with the frustrations and drive positive momentum, hold engineers accountable, coach, reward and celebrate.
You?ll be educated to degree/equivalent level in an engineering discipline and have significant experience as an Engineering Manager within a blue chip food manufacturing / FMCG company.
You?ll have experience in dealing with complex employee relations and an excellent track record in delivering change and transition management.
You?ll have excellent experience of continuous improvement/QA/lean manufacturing methodology and implementation as well as proven Project Management/Quality Systems/Asset Care/Installation experience.
