What are we looking for?|
Lendlease Construction is looking to recruit a permanently employed Senior Project Manager (Snr Package Manager) who will be responsible for the project management and delivery of the cladding and envelop works packages on a project in Hammersmith. The Façade and Cladding package is worth approx. £14m in construction value.
You will be responsible for writing the individual scope of works, procurement of packages, defining the design responsibility, managing the design development, managing the interfaces, defining the quality control criteria, monitoring off site manufacture, managing the works on site and the handover process. Ensuring the successful delivery of the packages.
Lendlease have been appointed as the principle contractor to build a £100m office complex in Hammersmith Road, West London. This new build office will be home up to 2,000 workers and will be built to maximise natural daylight and feature outdoor roof terraces. It will be capable of accommodating up to 29 tenants over the 350,000 sq. ft worth of office space.
The development will be stepped back from Hammersmith Road, with a new landscaped plaza at the front that leads through to a podium garden. The new building will consist of a basement, ground and 11 upper storeys and an extensive public realm.
The scheme will be completed in the first quarter of 2019.
â€¢ Experience with facades, roof finishes and façade cleaning equipment
â€¢ Delivery of the façade/envelop/cladding sub contract works packages.
â€¢ Ability to manage design development of these works
â€¢ Ability to procure these works, in conjunction with the commercial manager
â€¢ Ability to manage and monitor off site manufacture and testing
â€¢ Ability to work as part of a team
â€¢ Good communication skills
â€¢ Track record in delivery of building envelopes
â€¢ Ability to use BIW for document management and snagging module
Essentials Skills and Experience required:
â€¢ Experience in delivery of façade, cladding and envelope building works packages on large scale new build projects
â€¢ Experience in managing the design development of the façade and building envelope
â€¢ Experience in the procurement of works packages and sub-contractor appointment
â€¢ Experience is writing scopes of works and quality control documents for building envelopes
â€¢ Ability to manage several trade contractors on site
â€¢ Ability to successfully manage trade interfaces
â€¢ Ability to integrate within the Lendlease team
Key Tasks and Activities:
You will be required to work in close liaison with the Construction manager, commercial manager, design manager and all other team members to assist in the successful completion of the assigned works packages.

â€¢ Produce, read, interrogate and familiarise oneself with the specifications and drawings produced by the design team
â€¢ Understand the Lend Lease policies and procedures and implement them
â€¢ Understand and utilise the clients cost plan to help manage the works
â€¢ Write scopes of work, quality plans, and methodologies for the works
â€¢ Understand the technical requirements of the Structure
â€¢ Understand the technical requirements of the façade and interrogate details
â€¢ Prepare and monitor programmes
â€¢ Chair, attend, and minute meetings
â€¢ Be proactive in driving to exceed the client's requirements
