Senior Security Architect // Global Company // £70,000 - £80,000 + Car // Worcestershire|
My client - A dynamic, national, market leading and importantly incredibly culture friendly organisation, are looking to appoint a seasoned Senior Security Architect to the flag ship site in Worcestershire.
The role secures and enterprises information for clients by determining security requirements, planning, designing security systems; preparing security standards, policies, and procedures; mentoring team members.
In addition as a senior specialist with a wide range of engineering and client engagement experience, the Senior Security Architect is also expected to work across the entirety of the Cyber Security Business Unit from consulting, pre-sales, to delivery roles as required.
The responsibilities of role this includes the following:
*Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.
*Plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards.
*Enhances Cyber Security MSS and organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
*Ensure cross-domain requirements are identified and issues resolved, resulting in the creation of a cohesive Enterprise Security
*Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
*Track industry trends for the domain and escalate potential areas of exploitation.
*Contribute to feasibility studies on domain specific new technologies
*Participate in reviews of solution architectures developed by the programmes.
*Provide governance and alignment of development program architecture to the IT strategy.
*Supply hands-on security architecture expertise through consultative and review sessions to the security programmes and business.
*Work with CTO, Chief Architect, Solution Architect(s), Security and Commercial Partners to ensure that architecture solutions meet the business requirements and fit with the overall IT Enterprise Security Architecture & strategy.
*Work with key vendors to the domain to influence the direction of their products and services ensuring maximum value.
*Support Solution Architects on security issues.
*Conduct feasibility studies for domain specific new technologies, if applicable.
*Lead reviews of security solution architectures developed by the programmes.
*Track and promote use of common methods and processes for achieving security solution design
*Fill security management roles such as CISO on behalf of clients and leverage accounts on a billable basis as required as part of an advisory service or of the Managed Security Services.
*Proven experience in design, implementation and operation of large-scale security architecture solutions in a large and complex multi-supplier / multi-platform environment. - experience mandatory
*Knowledge of all areas of IT Security, including Identity and Access Management; Single Sign On; Secure communications and network protection; Data protection and privacy; Security Management; Audit; Cryptographic services; and Security Assurance and Maturity highly desired
*Proven track record of experience in developing and driving the commercial characteristics of security solutions e.g. designing security architecture based on unit cost targets
*Experience of Architecting innovative IT Security technology systems in a consumer-facing sector. highly desired
*Demonstrate good influencing, communications, interpersonal and organizational skills. - Mandatory
*Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) - mandatory
*TOGAF Certified - highly desired
*ISO 27001 experience mandatory, qualification highly desired
*PCI DSS experience mandatory, qualification highly desired
*UK HMG experience highly desired
*Hold or be able to obtain SC or DV clearance (desirable)
*Knowledge of third party security assurance highly desired
*PRINCE2 and Agile qualifications preferred
